Caerns
Sept Name: Introspective Heart
Location: Barret Lake, Sand Diego California
Caern Type: Wisdom
Caern Totem: Mole

Physical Location: Barrett Dam was completed by the City of San Diego in 1922, creating Barrett Reservoir. Located at the confluence of Cottonwood and Pine Valley creeks, Barrett Reservoir is in a remote area approximately 35 miles east of San Diego. Located behind locked gates in a remote area of San Diego County and closed for many years, The area is privately owned and part of the Cleveland National Forest, which encompasses 460,000 acres(720 sq mi (1,900 km2)).
The Bawn: The bawn of the Caern encompasses much of the above ground area of the sept, stretching for a few miles in all directions before reaching the small bluffs that form the area surrounding the lake, and the waterfall that hides the entrance to the caverns themselves. Though they might not always be seen there are guardian within this area.
Graves Of Hollowed Heroes: For the Sept of the Introspective Heart, the walls of the caverns that make up the main part of the caern and covered with the names and Glyphs of the hero who have fallen in defense of the caern. For those garou who have been buried on the caern grounds all have been buried with a tree of some sort, so that from their death new life my grow. The names of these garou are written the the pictogram language of the garou, listing Deed name, tribe and Auspice, as well as their rank.
Living area: This area is connected to the Sept itself by underground tunnels which lead into the city, and to one of the large buildings owned by the Sept Alpha or some of the local kin, arrangements can be made for those who need housing, In the Case of the Warder there is a small house built near the Caern itself.
The Assembly Area: The Assembly area is located in the largest of the underground caverns, located directly under the lake itself, and far underground. The cavern is nearly two stories tall, with a diameter of nearly 100 yards, more then enough room to hold the garou of the sept. Tunnels spider off from this central area.
Caern Heart: At the very center of the cave complex is a small Den like area, this is the heart of the caern, and the area where the caern Totem Mole can be most easily reached. The den is much larger on the inside then the outside but those wishing to commune with mole must first wiggle through the entrance.
The Umbralscape: The Umbral area around the Sept of the Introspective Heart is different then most Caerns, because of the caerns physical location. Those who enter the umbra while underground will instead find themselves above ground in the umbra. As with most cases the area near the caern itself seems more wyld. The trees taller the Lake larger. The paths that form the underground tunnels look instead to be small trails made of water of flat stones that lead out in all directions.
